Was up just north of there Friday night. Fished a few hours but stopped coz of the weed. Getting sick of removing weed from the line after every cast.

Nearly got spooled by something huge. Headed for the horizon with lots of thumping. Snapped the 60lb leader when I tightened up the drag (didn't want to lose 300m of braid!!). 

Fished again early sat morning and all weed gone. Light easterly blowing. Picked up 4 nice size tailor (nice size for summer). Biggest was 50cm.  Also fought a decent fish for a while only to lose it when my mate went to grab the line with the fish 2 metres from shore. I told him not to touch it!! Doh. I left the gaff at home!! Think it might have been a wobbegong?? Longish and browny colour. Put up a great fight going sideways up and down the beach for a while. 

Another thing to note. The sand seemed a lot softer than normal. Got bogged a few times on the beach and in the dunes at 18psi. Had to go down to 12psi and all good.
