Yay Bart - How did you go in the Cup?
Submitted by Colin Hay on Tue, 2008-11-04 12:29
It was great to see old Bart win another Cup. Did anyone back the winner?
I had a good crack at the 3rd horse, so I did okay - but it would have been REALLY BIG if it had won.

Well done !
Don't spend you millions all at once.
#1 and I swapped a PM or two, and we both drew Non De Jeu in our respective sweeps - how weird and how unsuccessful![Cry Cry](/sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cry.gif)
Anxious wait for you Seansonrods
Great win for Bart (again!) and the young jockey!

Kinda have a bad feeling
Kinda have a bad feeling Col, I was expecting a call from my sister and the phone still have not rang so it's not looking good. If she didn't put the bet in for me this time it'll be the second time i missed out on a win on melbourne cup because I was too lazy to go down to the TAB myself heheheh
May be I should have learned something from mistake I made the first time a few years ago.

Good one Lockie - some new lures maybe?
Dave - that would be bad news, especially if it has happened twice.

Did OK
Had $10 for a place on both 2nd and 3rd. Took home $143 for $36 invested (also had $10 on Master O'Reilly and a $6 shut the gate that wasn't even close).
Went out for lunch with work, so a win all round.

$46 or something along those lines for the win. Not a bad "stuff up"!

Yup did well
My better half had picked the winner for the last four years so I threw $10 bucks on view to win as she suggested and I'm one very pleased man today! Might have to put $100 on her suggestion next year!

Ah SOI, rookie mistake
If they are leading the race at the start, don't get excited because they will not win the race. You may as well tear up your ticket......
They do 2700m of cantering, the real race isn't until the last 500m.
