yesterdays day out

me and the missus went out for a short fish yesterday on the aim to see if there was any tailor around the reef breaks lately on the first break we tried i was slowly retreiving a rapala diver lure when something grabbed it ......big cuttlefish no luck on the next few casts decided to move spots the next spot we went was just swarming with skippy all ranging from 30-45cm roughly  but i noticed at the back of the school there was a yellow fin mixed up amongst the school of skippy i threw a large unweighted white whipbait at the back and instantly watched this 1m yellowtail kingfish come up and destroy this lure before ripping line of the stella 5000 this fight did not last long and i was smoked within seconds after re rigging and throing out a 140gram jig we where hooking up almost every cast on yellowatil kings but much much smaller all around 65cm which where still good fun on the way in stopped off at a little bombie we had marked and picked up a 65cm dhuey was a great day cant wait to get back out there  ......no tailor though

Big cuttlefish

That's a very good size cuttlefish those things look down right evil to me. The kings look just the right size to have some real fun with.
