yep, good to see. his vids have gotten me a lot more into spearing these days. Good move by Genesis, they'll get some of the most well produced promotional videos out of it just by sharing every youtube clip he posts.
Saw it parked up in Carnarvon on Sunday night , sweet rig. Be interesting to see what sort of a deal he struck to get it . Must be about 130 k plus me thinks ? . He should flash the Verado !
based on the original post I looked him up on YouTube. Awesome ...some great clips and it takes time to put those clips together so good on him for doing it.
i have one question though, where are they boating with that water so crystal clear?
Hes been producing great stuff for a few years now, only just started paying off for him in a material sense just now. Living the life-- got to remember hes' just a sparkie working locally, does this stuff in his time off. Enjoys a laugh, sees some awesome stuff. Mostly Exmouth based, does some stuff out of Dampier ( has family there) and I remember one sequence that looked like Coral bay.
Great crew around him too, young exxie guys and girls, his brother and family, all living it large on modest means. Remember he got so much of his stuff off that old Voyager, you dont need a million dollar rig to do awesome stuff. Itll be interesting to see what he does with the new rig-- maybe some overnight trips up the coast.
Been watching for a few years until he started going into weekly vids, good on them. Makes me jealous of my old exxy days as thats how we used to do it, just without HD and drones!
Yeh bluebone are the only fish left. Thats all I catch now. All my problems with brody were with respect to turtles and the code of conduct. Its a massive problem and dpaw know it goes on but dont do much about it. It took lots of photos and emails to get a sign put up at a certain beach which was promptly ripped out a day later which I found in the bush and then had to be concreted in. The turtles cop a flogging from tourists and locals harrassing them in the mating aggregations and there is a full code of conduct of behaviour around them that no one seems to care about.
Not taking anything away from brodie and his awesome vids but i think alot of their followers came from Amberleigh West., love watching their vids but id say having a playboy model with 500k followers in their vids has helped shoot them into the youtube pay world. Great blokes and vids tho. Wa should start using their vids for tourism
Coral Coast helicopters, out of Carnarvon, he was beach hopping in an R22. Trying to work out exactly where he was-- obviously somewhere north of the Blowholes, but with no easy road access. Big red jumbos in the surge in shallow water.
I reckon north of farquar sanctuary between waroora and gnarloo. I used to drive it for fisheries research, epic country and those shark aggs were pretty common around there.
Not sure on the island scene though.. has had me wondering.
If that is the case, isn't that an offence? My undrstanding in NOONE is permitted on Dorre Island...I assume that includes youtubers and helicopter pilots.
Apparently brodie is pretty special. Ive had my say to dpaw on a few things he has done which clearly breach there codes of conduct and they did nothing. His best mates old man is one of the main men at dpaw in exmouth. He is good for tourism but sadly this stupid increase in spearos over the last few years there will be nothing left on the inshore reefs they are killing everything there is virtually nothing left except buff bream on the westside beaches between lighthouse bay and tantas.
Obvious, from that. but it doesn't mean that the landings were done anywhere off-limits, as some are implying, I'll bet Coral Coast helicopters wouldn't be putting their name to that. It really jumps all over the place, some of it was Dirk Hartog, and the other islands , some obviously on the coast, footage just edited for maximum entertainment rather than an accurate travelogue of where he was, which is how thhis is best done.
You'll notice that he never mentions anywhere by name, ever. Even when he was up at the Dampier Archipelago. Exmouth is as much as he ever says.
Spoke to Matt at Genesis the other day, they are using the demo while they build their own boat.. YB crew will be at the boat show with it at Genesis stand
Was at Genesis workshop recently, they own the boat, reviewed in a year. Working it’s magic for them already with builds. Fairly impressive rig, not sure about the painted trailer.. but the layout is very cool. Does 49 knots!
In company with a white and green Genesis about a week ago.....lovely set up BUT I seriously question if a an old land cruiser ute is legal to tow it with

Im sure a lot of the accolades need to go to the ladies that so gracefully swim amongst the stunning backdrop. Hopefully more to come.

Disagree
I disagree, ive seen bluebone like never before between lighthouse n tantas, spearos cant touch and the bb know it, seen monsters n lots of them.
Theres no special treatment, i know lots of fisheries and dpaw in exxy, they arent going to risk their jobs for a youtube video.
