5kg salmon on bottom bouncing gear

hi guys went for a fish with frank f on his boat bottom bouncing in the 40 metter mark,caught 1 60cm dhufish,a kgw and also managed my first 5 kg salmon that gave me a good fight after thinking it might be a snapper till it surfaced,had a quik photo shoot and released to fight another day

I guess a salmon whilst bottom bashing would have me guessing all the way up. Conditions look pretty terrible as well!!

seems to be a lot of salmon
seems to be a lot of salmon being caught on bottom rigs lately. as they fight well it doesnt surprise me that you guessed wrong. reasonable size too. well done on your first, another tick in the book of species
