IMO, lip gaffings the best. then after the rush is over you still have a chance to release it if you want to
this one was only small, it was always going to end up in the smoker, was actually good to "brain it" made putting it on the deck of the boat pretty easy.

We had a pop down here a few days ago and only got the one swipe but it appeared to be of reasonable size
