Bit hairy

Went out yesterday and it was a bit hairy on the water. Worked hard for 5 blue-lined emperor. Rough weather and big tides seem to bugger the fishing here..

conditions
Looks a bit like that up here today. Was planning to go out for a mission, but think I'll just sit at home, eat some prawnies and watch the footy. Spose there's always tomorrow. :)

We had quite a big swell for
We had quite a big swell for up here too (you can't tell from the pic) which made it that bit worse... the new boat handled it OK just a little uncomfortable.

Pic doesn't do it justice
Pic doesn't do it justice, it really was quite bad and I wouldn't have wanted to be in anything smaller than what we were in. the water generally isn't as bad up here as it is down there. I reckon it's mostly to do with the swell.. a 25 knot wind here can come up fairly rough but without the swell it's quite managable if you take it easy.

You should have seen the swell at Kalbarri
Just got back from Kalbarri trip yesterday. Our last day out on the 15ft Quinny saw us negotiate the river mouth with an approx. 4-6meter swell running.Promptly shat myself, cleaned undies and then went to the pub for a much needed nerve settler. Will post a report later with pics. Water didn't look too pleasant at all Jay.At least you got into some fish mate. Can't all be too shiny for you up there.
Cheers OX
