I have been stalking this cray for 12 months, has always been deep in its cave just out of reach. On Friday I dropped down for a quick look on the way to rotto and he had moved to another little ledge just next to his cave - couldn't believe my luck. The ledge has 1 exit they can retreat to but when I blocked that off it was all over. Scouted around for another 6 then when stuffing the 8th in my catch bag noticed the zipper had broken and all bar these 2 had fled. The smaller jumbo floated out and I had to drop my loop and torch to wrangle these 2 by hand to get them back to the boat. The legs were massive, tail to tip of legs was 88.5cm, just knocking off Scottos 88cm leaderboard entry. Will go back another time to get my loop and torch.
