dont know, had no probs with that one. i generally fillet smaller fish like that one when the fish is lying on its side, make a cut behind gills almost to the bone, then turn the knife towards the back, always along the bone and press the fish down with one hand.
with bigger ones i make the cut into the back along the 'spine' towards tail.
but i have seen many different ways people get their fillets....
nice lizzard, looks to be a decent size. when filleting flatties i tend to sit them on their belly and make a cut down each side of the backbone then around the ribs, never realy had any probs that way and with them sitting flat on the belly there is less chance of them rolling over and stuffing the fillet
