There are some deep gutters to the left of the wreck when it is exposed. The gutters are pretty easy to see. You can see the direction of the currents running up and down the beach. So pick your spot according to the conditions or your rig will end up next to you. When the salmon run, you usually pick up a few on the odd days. You can usually spot the schools from the dunes.

Theres some nice gutters down the front of Mandalay.. Can't say I've had any luck myself..
