Yeah all the emps are much the same mate although I guess it can vary depending on where they're caught and what they've been feeding on. Can't fault the good old emperor though, 5 stars every time and no worms, not like them Chinaman & Rankins
They are so yummy! I feel like a Emp soon... What type of worms do they get? Are they the same as the ones as in the Giant Trevally? I've never tasted Rankin Cod, but I don't want to now if theya have worms!
All the best for the future fishing trips! Cheers.. Jangles
caught a fair few red throats in coral bay last week .at certain way points all the redthroats had worms and other was points no worms . got told a story about a guy cooking and eating ones that he had pulled the worms from .problem was he didnt get there eggs . even arfter cooked they ended up hatching in his gut .causeing a stomch oulser. personaly i wouldnt eat them always in it just the depth that varies

It's worth picking the worms
It's worth picking the worms out when you fillet them Jangles because the Rankin sure is delightful.

You can eat them no dramas
You can eat them no dramas Jangles, probably wouldn't even notice them once they're cooked up. They're small too, gotta look pretty hard to spot them.

probably doesn't happen too
probably doesn't happen too often mitch, I reckon you'd pretty much kill them once it was cooked.
