For some reason just love threshers, sort of no fear for them, even if they are a whaler-related shark. I am surprised the assist lasted as posted by Till on the other photo. Was it hooked clear so that the teeth didnt get to it?
Or more likely did you bother to check and get the jig back, or called it and sacrificed the jig. Thats normally what I would do. A visit to the hospital/Dr with bites cost more than a jig.
Half wat through the fight I felt the hook slip and thought I had lost it , fortunately the hooks re-set in its pec, managed to get jig and assists back
