Massive cray MUST READ

Hey, gotta believe this; mate was fishing for tailor at 'our' beach north of rotto (has great reef structure) and was having fun catching some monsters on fresh herring fillet. it was well and truly dark when he felt a few surges which he put down to a big squid, whatever it was held on as he walked it towards the shore. All he could see was two massive eyes staring at his head torch and after a few seconds of disbelief he realized it was the biggest crayfish he had ever seen! top effort i reckon, never even heard of someone catching one on a rod let alone that bloody big!

Fishing from a boat in 34m of water he has pulled up jumbo crayfish on two occasions.Size about 2.0-2.5 kgs.

We fish the cliffs in Kalbarri and have caught suprisingly quite a lot of them. Never caught one that big thou. We kept ours as long as they were legal size and in season. Well done.

If you are lucky enough to catch one on a fish hook then you should be able to keep it.
Just tell fisheries that it swum up to the boat and you grabbed it .

But only for a couple of hours got soaked then spat the dummy
took my bat and ball and went home and watched the cricket
went back for the weigh in.
