the nice barmaid did show me the price list another one was bullet bourbon $130 a carton and there also trying to stop making anything over 7% and dropping most drinks by 1%

Yep, the new Gov laws will be banning any premix drinks over 7% so all those high % ones will be upto 6.9% only and you'll pay more also.......bullsh!t!

They have 3 months to flush out the high % stuff and this is their way
to reduce binge drinking but imo binge drinkers dont spend that $$
anyway on premix's. Ironically they'll still be able to buy a bottle of
full strength stuff (not mixed) and neck that with coke...........go figure!

yeah well its not going to stop you buying a bottle and mixing your own strong drinks anyway, just another way to piss people off and make more money imo

about the cost of booze, We brew our own at one of the diy breweries it works out less thean a dollar a stubby using your own bottles i.e $146.00 for about 150 stubbies or if you want to can it you get over 100 500ml cans for about 35 dollars extra it taste better than the normal shite no chemicals etc means no hangover...however much you drink

agree fingers, i always thought about doing it myself, might be the time to get into it i think, but thats for beer, spirits are different and i prefer bourbon or scotch sometimes over beer, no help there, just buy and bottle and mix it strong i say

it only takes an hour to sterilise and fill you bottles!
you just order and pay then go back 2 or three weeks later and bottle piece of piss!

sounds ok , so you dont have the home one you go to one of those places like u-brew-it or something? and those prices you quoted are for the premium type beers like crownies etc?

My mate Pete D makes his own beer, awesome taste and cheap. I'm the same Matt...bourbon boy so that makes it harder!

yeah sometimes i get into beer other times prefer bourbon, would be nice doing my own bourbon though, just not sure how or where to get the stuff

Might be waiting a few years before you get anything out of it. Maybe a moonshine version is a lot quicker though. Might be quicker to put you in the hospital quicker though.

a mate of mine used to make his own spirits... the liquid comes out clearer than water and you just add your own flavour...his used to come out at about 96-97% and then he just water it down 50 50 add the flavour and presto. bloody nice drop to. he explained to me how he does it all and what goes in but i cant rememeber all of it. i know there was a shit load of sugar in it though.

yeah along time ago i used to make some of my own sambucca, used to use that some sort of essence, hoyts brand i think, and yeah was a huge amount of sugar in it and the longer it was left the stronger it got

Those old essences that you mixed up got about a 20% mix
