What Fish was it?

Yesterday I went squiding in the river at my usual spot and found the river still too dirty( fresh water). After about a dozen casts I noticed from my high advantage spot a pretty big fish feeding in the shallows directly under me. I was about 15 foot above the river and had a really great veiw of this fish. At first glance it looked like a Dhue fish, NO CRAP. It had a very wide girth, greyish in colour and a bit of a cross between a paddle tail and a pointed one. It's side fins where also white as well as greyish. It was feeding in the shallow edge of the river amongst rubble(limestone). I threw my squid jig at it to see what it did but it just kept slowly cruising down river against the slow incoming tide. It was a big fish and was definately NOT a mulloway! As mentioned before it had a wide girth and weighed approx. 8 - 9 kilos. It tailed a couple of times whilst feeding too.

River Pinky maybe? They used to fish commerically in the swan many eons ago, i wouldnt put it past one changing to a darker color because of its surroundings.
