Photo or Fish ?

Mon, 2009-08-03 20:24

Tell me if I'm wrong, but it's called "Photo of the Month"
My vote always goes to what I consider to the the best quality photo........
Some great fish again this month, but it's all about the whole photo for me. IMHO !

I'm with you mate. I vote on

Tue, 2009-08-04 07:17

I'm with you mate.

I vote on how it all fits in the frame, background, clarity and if the fisherman took care of the catch as in no blood or gaff holes.

None of my photo's I post of my dead squid or fish will ever make the cut,...

i second that one rick,

i second that one rick, seems the sensus of it being a photo of the month has soooooooooo gone and most think its the fish, imo most months it rules a few pics out, even though they are some great fish

your right lads, everyones

your right lads, everyones interpretation is different, there is not a right or a wrong answer. Its what the individual likes the most who votes, and the answer is always right

True that. That's why I mix it up and put some great fish but not the best photo, see what the votes come out like. A lot of the votes don't also reflect the photo, its more about "I want my mate to win" etc etc. Its just a bit of fun, if there was $100 riding on it, well, then it might be a bit more serious, but the winner gets a FW shirt and its just a bit of recognition for those that have submitted some great fish photos. Also the fact that photo shop can change a shit photo in a good one with very little tweaking, makes it a little hard...

Also to go with that, if it were a true photo comp, we'd have some of the scenery shots in here - there have been some absolute crackers over the last coupla months. Might run one a bit later this month to display some of the great pics.

Cheers,
Adam
