hey guys just recently got myself a Strudwick Bws 4kg 7ft 1 piece rod

absolutely love it!

until last week i rear ended sum bird on the way home from work and my rod was next to me and slid and smashed into my windscreen resulting in the photo below!

any ideas on some good repair shops which could fix this as i spent big on this rod and i dont want a cheap dodgy fix on it because it will ruin the performance and value of the rod.

Any help appreciated

Mate of mine is planning a trip to Exxy possibly may next year and he's keen to tangle with some billfish (which he's never tried before).

Having never chased billies meself was wondering if anyone out there can advise on whether the billfish are active up there at that time of year.

Any tips for chasing them would be greatly appreciated, with regards to lures, water temps, depths all that sort of thing.

Its been an idea of mine for a while now but wouldnt know where to start to get the ball rolling or idea's into the heads of the polly's.

Picture this.... 1.5- 2klm jetty jutting out from say hillarys or mindari strait into dhui territory. Something very similer to busso jetty. This would generate $$$ in tourism and be one hell of a great fishing platform for us landbased guys.

There are a few nice jettys like ammo jetty,palm beach but these are all south of the river and you cant fish here without idots starting trouble or braking into your car at night.

Should we all get a partition going? I spose in backwards state this would be a pipe dream as the W.A gov loves raking the $$$ in but never wants to spend money.

I have been looking at fishing charters whilst on my honeymoon. Very keen to target some White Sturgeon fish from Vancouver and Swordfish from Miami.

All the charters are about the same price.

Not sure what I should be looking for when checking out their websites. Sure a flash boat is nice but really we are going to fish not to admire the boat.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking of planning a trip down to Collie for the christmas holidays & was hoping people could give me an idea of waters that I'm allowed to fish in & the best techniques to use in the area? I'm only going to be down there for 3-5 days & will have the family in tow so my fishing time will be limited & I'd really like to maximise my chances.

When do Mullas start appearing around the metro area? Have never targeted the big ones b4, would be keen to meet up with someone and learn a thing or two sometime.

 gday guys im heading up  to green head over the chogom long weekend (nuts to the queen id rather be fishing) leaving on thursday with boat in tow and a car full of mates and piss for the weekend i was wondering if anyone could give me any tips or advice like what i will expect to catch i know i will be up after the demersal ban wich kinda sucks but id rather not catch them for a few months than never at all and was wondering what else id be looking to target the lady who runs the caravan park said alot of sharks had been caught but not really my cup of tea any help be much apperciated

Hi all, I'm thinking about installing my new sounder and transducer myself. Is there anything I need to know in regards to cutting and installing box in back of boat.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated, as I am handy but never fitted a tranny before and don't want to stuff it up.

The location for tranny is straightforward as the previous owner had a similar setup.

Does it matter what side the tranny is fitted for an in hull.

What do you use to stick down tranny outer box to hull, and some people said to use distilled water for the liquid inside? Don't really want to fibreglass it to the hull.

I don't want to ask too much, but if someone has installed these before, I would really  appreciate it, if I could speak to them, so if you would like to help, please PM me.

caught this odd looking creature while trawling for tailor... looks like some kind of deformed whiting. any ideas as to what it may be?

Almost all the time I have Fishwrecked open, there is a little bar on the bottom right (the one which tells you "connecting to ++++" when you open something) which reads "transferring data to/from Google-analytics", when I am sitting idle on here?

I have never seen it on other websites-does anyone else have this?

Heading out to a mate shack off Dampier for a few days this weekend & depending on weather we could doing some night fishing out wide for Reds. After some advice whether we need to change our approach to targeting them from day to night fishing i.e different rigs, baits etc.

Just recently I have been using a pe 3-5 overhead for jigging and really loving it. Just looking for some advice on what you think reel wise would be good for say the big sambos this season and if need be fishing out a little deeper if I get the chance.

I've tried searching the site but could only see recommendations for pe3 outfits. Just a few things I'd like to keep to, something light and say a budget of about $500 for the reel and round $300-350 rod wise. Also, If someones looking at selling something too in good condition rod or reel and has no use for it shoot me a pm I may be interested in making you some offers.

havn't been out since exxy which is depressing. F****** work taking my car off me for a different site. Soon enough i shall be back in the game. In regards to cray pots, what is everyones preference in terms of jarrah or placcies? I have just been given for placcies rigged and ready to go, but im tempted to sell two and possibly try two wood and two placcies (yes i know you need two fishing licenses on board for one boat to have foour pots.)...\

I am after a rod recommendation, doesnt have to be local and pricing well...lets see if its worth it.

This rod will be use for sharkbay False Entrance/Steep Point (10meter high platform) casting lures at Mackeral and Tuna

- would like something like suited to a 4000-5000 size reel

- 20-30lb line

- casting lures 50gs (spoons, metals and minnow style lures)

- need enough backbone to lift the fish head so it can be gaffed

- light so i am able to cast all day
