Poida's Steep Point Pic's - Click to enlarge Photo's

Back from Steep Point where 2 of us managed about 2 macs a day apart from the 1st day where sharks and gaff shots lost a few fish.  Spent 2 hours fishing the cliffs on the 4th day, which was a nice change of scenery, but no quieter with a good pinkie on my 2nd cast. The highlight was probably on the last morning, when a 12kg mac launched a meter out of the water with my lure in his mouth and the gave me heaps of stick on my herring rod and 10kg mono. A great gaff shot 10mins later had my first spaniard on lure and our bag limit reached.

I could of taken a ton of

I could of taken a ton of photos but the macs all look pretty similar. It seemed who ever threw a line in woud catch something. The older bloke with the tuna spent the week catching Tuna and sharks, which drove him nuts. Nearly everyone spent all their time spinning but Ernie tried mulies one morning and got a ytk and a trev for his efforts. He also drove me to the cliffs where we caught snapper and he released an undersized baldie. Every night plenty of spanglies were caught along with the odd shark. A bone fish or milk fish also came in at night along with a few tailor.
