104 cm pink off hillarys yesterday
Submitted by Ryan C on Mon, 2010-07-19 16:17
Icaught this 104 cm snapper on the 3 mile off Scarborough yesterday, it took some stopping in 10 m of water on my stella 4000 and 20lb saltiga braid, we released 4 other pinks around 5/6 kg and caught a heap of 1.5/2.5 kg skippy on plastics and 6 lb braid it was a top day!!!

104 cm pink
it's my biggest ever and it was a miracle to land it where i did , i have lost many, many
huge pinks there before , the reef has a little pinnacle on it that they slice you off on so its lock up and hold on .

as a matter of interest
that pink had a 12/14/0 mustad circle and about 10 cm of 120/150lb mono hanging out of it's mouth , the hook was pretty rusted so he must have been lucky to escape someone else before.

Great Pink
Horse of a Metro waters fish. Stella is quality, I'm sure that helped.
