2015 Adventure Island rod holder's and Trailer
Hi, Would like to share some of my mods that I have done to my Adventure Island, the rod holder's are RAM units and I have mounted them on the aka's using hydraulic hose clamps, these are AEGI brand 42 mm in size, the fit perfectly with no alteration's apart from drilling the ram mount holes out to 1/4" and using longer stainless bolt's and locknut's, the clamps are only $10.00 ea, I have fitted my Lowrance Elite 5 just in front of the rudder control and for me it is ideal, very easy to change settings and read, the trailer is my design and I finished building it several weeks ago, it weighs just under 120kg's total, it tows very nice and it is very easy to load the yak with the ama's pulled in, I have been fishing with the AI and have caught a few fish but the weather has been crap of late, I fish around Esperance but intend to travel further out once the weather improves

Thanks Guardy and Jayden 20
Have not tried these as yet and after reading some comments on the yakfishwest site the RAM balls might fail ie; slip or break when trolling and a large fish hit's, and I tend to agree, but might give them a go and if they are'nt up to the job I might fit some Railblazer or Scotty unit's to the clamps, Stauff also make this style of clamp and in several different material's including some in aluminium, hope this is helpfull, cheers Chris
