24 hour fuel stations between Perth and Coral Bay

Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone knew which fuel stations are 24 hrs on the way to coral bay. Due to a personal matter we have to leave late friday arvo rather the friday morning with a stop over on the way. So we will be driving through the night.

Cheers

cheers mate

Stock on the road

Watch out for goats around Wooramel, cattle from about 40km south of Carnarvon to about 40 km north and again around the river crossing half way from Minilya and Coral bay turn off. There are a very few roos due to good feed and water further inland but still keep an eye out.

Pretty sure Overlander is 24 hour and that leaves the Caltex on the corner here and the 440 on the north side of Gero as the main stops for fuel

Nor is Billabong.  They shut around 8pm (Edit: might be later than that come to think of it) and open at 5 or 6am.

On the upside though, Wooramel is always the cheapest of the lot, so I always plan for a refuel there

Cheers

Thanks heaps guys for all the fuel info and animal warnings. We plan on stopping in gero to refill then push through to canarvon and also chucking a couple of jerry cans in just incase. I usually get around the 550km per tank(3l turbo diesel rodeo 2003 model) but towing the boat takes nearly 80-100kms off that total, so the extra 20 litres in the jerry can will probably come in use.

Cheers again mostly appreciated.

Make sure you fill up there Aaron as it is the last of Perth type fuel prices you will see. Just came back from up there paying for fuel for a truck and 4x4 ute.

p.s Gee Dale I thought  the Wooramel it is the most exy of the lot maybe Carnarvonite can sort that out.

Prices

Cannot help you on road house prices for fuel as I don't need to refuel between Cvon and Perth if I have to travel down [big tank]

Diesel is around $1.63--$1.70 a litre in town but if you are getting over 50 litres and are using a eftpos card [not credit] the bowsers where the BP Palms road house 1 x km towards Exmouth on the right from the tee junction is about 8 cents a litre cheaper. Its a self serve with nothing else there but the bowsers so if you need a bite to eat grab it at the caltex before heading off.

Its located just behind the Centurion transport yard otherwise the next cheapest is KCD fuel supplies 200 metres towards town from the tee junction on the left between 0700-1730 and again , no food service.

Wed, 2011-11-09 19:56

Yeh Overlander shuts between 8 and 10 depending on business.... theyre now owned by the same ones that bought Minilya... They do however stay open 24hr once holiday weekends come about cause they know the masses of wobblies are coming through all hours..... PS Overlander has also closed off the dunnies from the outside of the resturaunt so ya cant use em once theyre shut like ya used to be able to...

Wouldnt worry bout the goats cause theyre probably the smartest animals out there, watch for roos(only littlies) between Northampton and billabong.. sheep between Overlander and Wooramel, and cows in the S bends leading up to Carnarvon.... after that just be mindful in the floodways but hopefully if ya left at around 3 ish in the arvo the sun should be up by then.. and everything will be open too

And get yourself a UHF whether handheld or installed.... Communicating with us guys(edit..Truck drivers) will make the trip a whole lot safer... Nothin like a few ks heads up on some stray cattle!!!

Troy

Edit... The night shift definitely eases up on the traffic too... just take it easy and stop if ya tired!!!!!

check on fuel watch and you can dial up each station in country towns and indicates their next day price to give you an idea
