3 local freedives this week - picture heavy!

This week we had some pretty epic weather, well at least for a small 2-3 hour window. So I made the most of it and went spearing 3 times along the FFB. I dont have a GPS or sounder on board that works so it was a jump in and check the ground scenario. Found some awesome new ground along the way also.

Been running a new wetsuit the last 3 dives - perhaps its been my good luck charm.

Highlights are:

- my first speared tuna in over 6 years of diving, these fish are quick and dont hang around for a shot, lucky to land this 6.5kg stripey. Saw them busting up some bait on the surface, and jumped in and two models swum past me close enought for a shot. Next is hopefully a yellow fin on spear.

- PB 1.2kg KGW, 57cm long

- The shot on the small sambo, from the ocean floor shooting above me - long shot and landed it, stoked with that.

- Fish in the freezer again finally!

Sorry for the pics being side on, no idea why that happens or how to fix.

ps the foxy in one of the pics was shot by my dive buddy.

pps the blue groper is only the 2nd I've shot in my life.

Striped Tuna and Skipjack Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) are one of the same, just different names.
