40 Mile Beach (gnoorea point)

Just wondering if any Pilbara locals have fished 40 miles beach and have any suggestions on bait and rigs? and also what sort of fish would hang around close to the beach there??

I've heard they get a few threadfin salmon at times.Mate told me the trick in catching them is not to cast too far out as they are right at your feet

yeah mate launching your boat there is pretty dangerous unless you know what your doing if your any inteerested in diving there is heaps of crays and a lotta good fish hanging around in shallow if yah know where to go;)

Great spot
Mate was their about a month ago, got spooled twice straight out from the ramp water isnt real deep 4 to 5 meters but the place is alive with fish. Caught a few 5 to 6 kilo spanglies, Norwest Snapper, seen alot of Bluebone, and my son even caught his first Barra in the creek.
Their is a gas plant going in at the moment but the place is still open for fishing and camping.
