4x4s on City Beach tonight

Went for a beach sesh tonight with some mates. We were fishing south of city beach between there and swanny drain. We walked down as did every other angler there..or so I thought. After sunset 3 seperate fourbys come fanging past in convoy and clearly did not look like rangers or anyone of authority. One ute was stickered from head to tow in Fishing brands.

The beach was packed around the drain and these knobs drove past with out a care in the world, not slowing down. They must have got access through the gate at city beach as the rangers are away. When I left they had set up for the night about a K past the drain.

Not trying to sound like a nanna but its a bit of a joke. Driving at full pelt on a beach full of holiday fisho's after sunset? Real smart.

Vehicles on the beach

And this is why we have various local government authorities locking everything up and stopping the majority who would do the right thing from having access. (I'm talking beach spots you are currently allowed to drive on)

Have seen similar knobs driving like idiots on Wittecarra every year, the solution would be to lock the offenders vehicles up for a month.

Unfortunately the hairy legged tree huggers, and Government agencies love this ammunition and this is why they are trying to lock everyone out of our national parks, lock access tracks, fence beaches, and generally try to corral us all into suburbia where they can "control" us more effectively.

We recently saw stretches of one of the rivers down in/near Pemberton plastered with signs (all illegal) from a government agency trying to lock people out of fishing it because they had laid a pipeline down it. (causing a significant amount of environmental damage) Now with some investigative passion, I think it was Mike Rodenfieldt who pursued them relentlessly and after being given the usual government run around, lies, and apparent innocence of committing the darstardly deed was successful in having the signs removed and the access reopened. (jUst had a look it was Lefroy Brook)
