Theres a property in the Gascoigne that has a 2.7 kilometer rifle range. Its on landline abc on sunday. Apparently shooters come from all over the world to shoot here with the long gun.

There is now a 2 mile ( 3525 yards!! ) comp in the states, hard to comprehend...
Projectiles are travelling for up to 6 seconds, lots of time for mother nature to affect the outcome...
The target for that range is a 48"x60" rectangle, not much smaller than a mans chest in reality...

That is out there!!
He was modifying his loads though as he would shoot out a barrell in 200 rounds!!

Holy crap, that’s dedication to the art! Used to shoot with a guy years back that had a .44 Automag, used to make all his own using cut down .308 brass, always thought that was some good effort till you told me about that one!

Been trying to shut him down for ages.
Pay your $250 get license. Still have to have cool down period ( background checks ect) by police. For the average joe who doesn't know any property owners ,who would like to own a rifle ( target shooting, goats, foxes ect would be mint). Hard one . Or they could join a club and get one .Better off knowing what people own , rather than them trying to get one by other means. Hard one , arguements for and against.
