595 trailcraft trailblazer

 Hi guys,

I was wanting to buy a 2004 595 trailblazer with a 130hp yamaha 4 stroke but have no clue about boats. I want the boat to be able to handle trips to rotto and know that if i go in some rougher water it will be able to handle it. All comments are welcome.

Cheers Rob

Hey mate.

I have a 2004 Sports Cab 5.6m, we regularly go out 20+ miles no worries at all. Very safe easy boats to drive, no bad habits to speak of, just a bit of a bumpy ride.

The limiting factor in this case will be your level of boating knowledge.

If you have "no clue". it might pay to stay in close until you learn what you can and can't do.

Cheers

Thanks for the help mate really appreciate it. We would definitely start out in the shallows and close to shore.

Someone is telling stories if they think Yamaha makes a 140 4 stroke too.

I had a 590 trailblazer with a suzuki 140 on the back and would go way past rotto at times and felt safe... just a bumpy ride that's all, if you have a kill tank in it make sure it's sealed under the floor. Mine was a new 2015 with a kill tank that was leaking, would then lap over between the top of the tank and the floor... so much for a sealed floor! ALL new trailcrafts are like this and they just stuff sikaflex in there to fix the problem. I'm not sure how the 595 would go with the 130, I thought a 150 would be minimum for a 595 (think that's the new 610 but could be wrong)

I've got the 660 with a 150hp verado on the back it it will sit on 35 knots with a decent load. I wouldn't think the boat your looking at would be underpowered. As for the handling, the boat will handle more than your body could possibly handle.
