Weather might be cold but she'll be hot in Adelaide next weekend...
Hawks to continue their form and send port out in straight sets...
I was hoping ( barring the Hawks ), Hinkley would win one but looking very unlikely now...
The only thing that will stop the Hawks playing a Prelim now is if they get ahead of each themselves, they should be better than Port in all areas...
How good is Meek, Freo have their two million dollar men running around and they had a better ruckman than the both of them fly the coup and head to the Hawks...

I actually admire the Dogs and what the Hawks have done this year Boony, and I was hoping they'd win. Port are the most hot and cold side in the comp IMO and I reckon with the right attitude the Hawks can do it. They're a team that just turns up and plays, no pomp.

I wouldn't expect Port to put in another performance like that next weekend so might be closer that you think. Geelong looked clinical in that demolition and will be hard pressed to beat them from here on with the players they have.

Gday Andy and Bill,
I don't expect another performace like that from Port but they seem to lack depth,
Ratagolea is a liability, Marshall and Dixon don't score enough, their ruckmen are B grade.
Hawks have nothing to lose really, Port finished 2nd and have two home finals, they'd want to start well or things could turn ugly ( in the stands and on the ground )....

How about a more positive
How about a more positive angle? Winners from here to the GF. For me, Hawks to beat Port and Giants to beat Brissie, then Hawks to beat Sydney and Cats over the Giants. Cats to raise the cup for the second time in 3 years. If not I'd like to see the giants or Hawks in that order.

The way I see it it will be Barrass stays and Baker doesn't come or TB goes and WC accept what Hawks give them for TB...
WC aren't in a position to dick Hawthorn around, Hawks don't need TB, we have a fist full of good defenders...
WC however do need draft currency and they aint got many players to offer up...

Port and WC have thrown the baby out with the bath water...
WC should have traded 14 with Hawks for TB and then bought in LB but instead they dicked the trade around and have now offered up P3 with some steak knives thrown in...
Port, why the fuck would you trade one of your top 3 players who sounds like he would have stayed for another season for P13 a Jack Watts potential clone and a couple of others that will play SANFL...
I can only assume WC are going to try and split P3 with a club that has eyes on someone in the top end of the pool...
Some clubs do the draft period well and others seem to fuck it up year in year out...

Why WCE???
The only logical reason for West Coast making the trade they did is that they needed something to stop people talking about the monumental f**k up that was the Tim Kelly trade. This should achieve that quite comfortably.
Bolton is a nice bit of icing on the Freo cake, fills one of the few voids in their team.

Freo fucked up the Bolton trade, why the fuck wouldnt they have kept 11 so they can grab Allen before WC do??
They've paid over for Bolton but somewhat like Cameron and Mcgov for WC ( overs as in Salary ), they won a flag.
If Freo win a flag then its not overs.
Richmond have quite the draft hand now!!!
Hopefully Hawks sit tight and don't bow down and pay overs for TB...

West coast forced Freo's hand
West coast forced Freo's hand with a late bid to Richmond for Bolton, smart play really and not ideal for Freo to loose 11 and be a few picks behind WC and now loose that chance for Bo Allan but that pick may well be turned into future picks now or even watch this space lol.
If Chad Warner is returning to WA he would quite simply be mad to go to WC, Freo would be the ideal landing spot for a shot at a GF while WC are still getting their shit together to not loose Reid and future picks would help Freo.
Bolton will be worth the picks outlayed / overpaid in my opinion, Freo are missing that spark up forward and he has the marketability (if that's a word) to bring in new supporters with excitement and flair and just maybe get one step closer to filling in a bare cabinet.
I always thought Rioli and Ryan were idiots but most opponents and opposing supporters would have loved them for what they did on the field and have them in their team.
Anyway, lets see what happens with the Hawks and TB ?

Cap could be an issue.
Picking up Bolton is a good one for Freo I think, agree he adds that spark and X factor they dont have. Should be a real shot next year if they stay fit an don't screw it up with silly losses.
Not sure re Warner though, with Pearce, Jackson, Darcy, Brayshaw, Serong and now Bolton they have got to be getting tight and the way things work these days will need to throw some fat coin at Treacy if they haven't aready!
