Having a totem pole installed in the goal square would be of more use. It'd probably get more than 4 touches too.

A reasonable effort by the very undermanned Eagles
At least the Dockers and Collingwood got done too, so that eases the pain somewhat ha ha.
Watched a bit of the Hawks v Port game at the pub last night. Hawks not looking too bad under the new coach. Port maybe made them look better than they are, but would be good being 2-0 eh Boon!
Can't see us getting up in the Derby next round. Going to be a long painful year if these injuries and Covid linger.

On another note Dave, just back from the Great Southern. A lot of wineries were closed due to Vintage, but managed to pick up some cracker local wines at the Co op in MT Barker Cellarbrations. Vintages going Back to 2009, Poachers Ridge, Alkoomi, Galafrey etc. But spent an hour at Dukes winery with the soon to be ex owner and grabbed a boxfull there too. There's a new distillery just opened in Porogurup called Woodlands, worth a visit.

Couldn't agree more, Freo
Couldn't agree more, Freo should have won last week if only they had a few more targets up forward. Still a young list and missing quite a few.
As for the Derby..playing like shit, especially this last quarter being a training drill and still making a meal of it. West Coast best player being an ex docker...
RAC...In the lead on the tipping, Spewin I missed Collingwood, some rebuilds doing better than others I see..

More than a bit of a concern
More than a bit of a concern for my boys. The younger fringe players just didn't step up and the more experienced guys like Petch, Witherden, SPS, Langdon, Jones either didn't want to get involved or missed targets when they did. I was spewing when Freo grabbed Erasmus and none moreso than yesterday.

If we compare stats
Reg Grundies had 36 hitouts, of which 9 were to advantage, plus 19 disposals at 47% efficiency, compared to Nic Nats 26? Hitouts with 9 to advantage and 16 disposals at 56% efficiency. I would admit that Grundy covered a lot more ground during the game, but I wouldnt call Nic Nat's contribution useless. I think he still has a bit to offer the Eagles and is a big loss at this time. He sure has a few haters here though lol.

Thoughts...
Even with no Buddy the swans play well here from memory, player fitness will be an issue WC, and as seen before as soon as you add the old foes back in most sit back and watch....eagles would be better sticking with last week team in my book, keep the new guys charging.
But who knows, a charging Kelly and Yo yo could be hard to beat out the middle.

A couple of brain fades in last night's game
Firstly Collingwood's star forward Cox kneeling his opponent in the back well after the mark was taken. He should get rubbed out for that one, though no big loss for the Pies anyway lol. Think he scored one point last night?
My namesake Gardiner for Brisbane was pretty clumsy too, so he should miss a couple of games too.
I'm in two minds about the Eagles chances against the Swans. Some good players coming back into the team, but underdone match fitness wise at AFL level methinks. If they play like they did against the Pies then they're a chance, but Sydney are a better side than the Pies.
The Bombers should beat Fremantle. It's a good opportunity for the Frockers to cement their place on the ladder, so a big challenge for them. Will they rise to the occasion, or let their supporters down yet again?
Happy Easter everyone!
