well, you got whiting/tailor/resident salmon off the beaches south from the cut opening on the ocean side. Tailor within the cut more concentrated around the bridge. North side within the cut anywhere holds good sized skippy and herring that arent shy from taking soft placcies (north seems better for the skippy coz of the depth). From the bridge to the estuary occasionally holds good salmon trout. Throughout the cut and estuary herring is usually plagued. Pilch mullets cruise around the estuary mouth. Cut n peeled coral prawns for whiting, metals n mulies for tailor, soft plastics for skippy n salmon trouts (good range of 3inch shads and minnows work), herring anything lol. Best all rounder placcy i've used and seen used the is the pink powerbait jerks. Then i suppose if you find the conditions for fish arent goin for you, cruise the peel inlet for big cobbler, good prawns and a feed of blue swimmers. Occasionally the peel holds a goood number of gardies also caught on peeled and small cut prawns and maggots.
