hey everyone i want to try to catch a metro landbased snapper, i know of places like north mole and ASI but are these just hyped up, if i go to asi at night do u think i've got a good chance of gettin one, also what is the best rig, how about and medium ball or bean sinker on  a running sinker rig with a whole mulie, also does it pay to go in rough weather

Apparently they come closer in shore becasue the bait comes closer in to find shelter while the snapper are right behind them.

yeah i did hear that at when its rough the waves knock crabs and things into the water and the snapper eat them

W/O I find the summer months the ASI produces sharks,

(gummys, whalers and wobbys) also runs of Australian salmon occasionally.

The winter months is where your chances will increase for a snapper. Early mornigs, late evenings, prior to a large weather front passing through or a strong norwest breeze.

Rigs.

depending on the wind and seas paternoster rigs produce fish, running sinker with a long leader

Baits.

Fresh herrring, yellow tail (live or dead) Mullies, squid.

Last of all. The key landing a metro rock snapper........................................
