Attention Gun Owners
I was havin a chat with one of my old mans good mates today. Yesterday he returned from work to find his front door open and the garden hose in the house.
It turns out someone broke into his backyard shed, grabbed his blocksplitter (axe) and smashed open his front door with it. They then busted open his gun safe and stole 6 of his rifles, and completely smashed his ammo safe off the wall and took the whole thing. They used the garden hose to completely soak the inside of his house to apparently remove fingerprints, and then they put rifles and ammo in his missus's car and stole that as well.
He is the 3rd member of his gun club in less than 2 weeks to have this happen, and by the looks of current news ( the old dude that smashed a couple of gun thieves with a baseball bat) it is an increasing problem.
I would love to think that there is a bunch of guys that are now out to wreak havoc on the local great white population, but the reality is these guns are now in the wrong hands.

Mind filling in the general
Mind filling in the general area in which the thefts are occuring? Dont need specifics just a general idea.

I'ld be looking at who had membership records
I would be having a look at who may have been able to get hold of the clubs membership records which would give the address's of club members. It looks suss when the people who got done over are all members of the same club

Theory
Not members IMO, just some scum who have probably been observing from a distance and then following people home to see where they live.
Shithouse thing to happen, guns are hard enough to obtain and licence in WA as it is.
