Augusta Boat Fishing

Hi All
I am planning on towing my 5.5m Surtees down to Augusta this weekend (weather permitting) for a spot of fishing.
Having never fished Augusta by boat before I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on anything that I may need to know about the area. I have read that it doesn't take too much swell to make it very sketchy and would just like an idea of how much swell would be unsafe for boating down there...
In terms of the fishing side of things we plan to launch from the marina and head out into 30-40m and sound around for some likely looking ground but if anyone has any tips they would be welcome.

Saturday looks fishable down
Saturday looks fishable down there. sunday probably not, but the bay probably will be 'ok' in close but uncomfortable.
There are plenty of squid in the bay on the weed patches, King george along the edges of weed and with burley plenty of herring and skippy.
Dont have to head out far to find good bottom fish or even Sambos and yellow tail kings. 10m of water is plenty. Last time we were down there we basically baged out on Dhu's, pinks and harli's in under 10m, and had more sambo's and yellow tail kings than we knew what to do with (Sambo's were over 30kg), great fun in shallow water!
Heading west has closer bottom ground, but with the swell up around 3m, if you venture out i wouldnt be crossing between the lighthouse and the island, i would be going round the islands

I mostly fish out of Dunsborough but this post piqued my interest in doing an overnight down to Augusta. Some good info there Bodie cheers, wouldn't mind getting into some shallow water Seriolas.
