Back beach

Hey guys
im pretty keen to go for a evening fish in the boat off karratha back beach and just wondering is the reef out from airport creek is like at night. I don't wanna go to far for the first night fish and will have a couple of guys that don't fish much but wanna give it a go.

I'm sure there will be cod there, and maybe a jewie. It would be interesting to try prawning at night.
Any Karratha locals got any prawning stories?

i too am keen to hear of any prawns and how they are caught, throw net is about as good as i get. mate i'd head the other direction and fish off the islands off Cleavaville or even better launch from cleavaville and fish the hole in the mouth or drive for 5 mins and fish in 5-8m off the two islands, i've even found squid off those islands too

Might head out and do a bit of sounding around and find a night lump to fish on and wait til dark. And see what comes around.

Friday night looks best you'll just make the high tide turn before the. Wind picks up again by Willy Weather...plus incoming tide for the change of light period...Sat not bad again but wind not as low...remember not pictures no fish....have fun
