beaches south of coral bay

I'll be up in coral bay mid this year with a few mates, but we're doing the whole families/wives/kids deal this year, for something different.

I've been google mapping the areas up to around 50km's south of coral bay. looks like there's some good beaches for fishing/swimming/setting up for a day, although I was just wondering what the access is like through that whole area.

I'm well familiar with North of coral bay (Cardibia station), but not south. is it on stations? is it restricted access? what is the general terrain like? we're obviously in capable 4WD's, and there are some tracks all through that area, but just don't know whether you're actually allowed to get in there.

pm if its easier or you don't want to promote anything.

cheers

 That would be Warroora

 That would be Warroora station.

Fence line to Warroora is as far as you can get from Coral Bay (without upsetting people). It's just south of Coral Bays south passage, so about 6km south of town. Look on their website for maps of the station, lots of very good beaches, great place for family. But the only way there is back out on the hwy, drive bout 25km south and then back into the station.

yeah I was looking at that, and was thinking it was probably the best way to get down there (highway south, then turn in). just wanted to check legalities.

thanks for that info mate.

Yeah Warra station, pretty easy tracks through there Scotto, got your main roads in and out that are graded/corrugated gravel tracks and then the tracks through the place are just dirt with rocky sections. Your allowed to get onto a couple of beaches there and they are usually very soft. But you can get everywhere there with a standard 4x4. The southern end down towards the boundary gets very rocky.

Plenty of good beaches to fish off there, also lots of onshore reefs that can't really be fished either tho. But yeah google maps will show you where to fish!

I know your very water wise and familiar with the north west, but if you got kids just be very careful if they go swiming up there, you can get some crazy currents ripping through some of the sheltered bays.

Also some good surf spots through there too if that's your thing
