bertram carribean 18 opinions please

hi all
does anyone have any experience of bertram 18s.
im looking at one for sale but dont know much about them.
whats the ride like, is there anything particular to look for on them

good solid hulls mate. The older ones are a bit heavy due to the amount of glass they used in construction but the newer ones are alot lighter. My old man has an older 23 footer hull and its a great sea boat

My mate
had one back in the US running a diesel......something about it seemed to drive the billfish and dollies crazy.....he always caught fish when everyone else was getting skunked. Very nice ride!

Ride
Give a nice comfortable ride but have a tendency to lay over when drifting.

i had a look at the boat yesterday, it was dissapointing to note that after a 4 hour drive the boat turned out to be not as described.(basically a piece of s##t)
