Double in the braid and then pass the double through the swivel and loop over the end of the swivel. If you want to go more fancy try a cats paw with the double. Is yet to let go for me.
I never tie braid to the hook, might want to be careful as if the eye of the hook isn't closed (ie small gap) the braid may slip out/off.
If I don't have a double in the braid - I tie an overhand (granny) knot however dont pull it tight. Then pass the braid through the swivel and back up and through the 0 (hole) in the granny. Pull the granny tight and slide the knot down to the swivel. Then do at least 10-15 half hitches in alternating directions (pass one over and through and next one under and through then over and through etc) up the line - more the better. again has never failed me.
PS When doing the hitches pull each one tight as you go.
I always tie my braid to a swivel on my premade rigs...whether beach, rock or bottom bashing rigs....I just double the braid and use a locking blood knot...works a treat
Locking blood knots are ok for light stuff like herring and such - but i find they slip way too easily. even doubled. Lost some decent fish (big bream and tailor) from slipping knots. Now, I go with a bimini to swivel, or even bimini - GT - Leader - Double Uni.
Thats no good Leemo, I havent had a drama yet...touchwood....and I caught over 20 fish over the last month including 2 big queenies and a 10kg blue groper on the same knot!!....But it is 50 lb braid im tying.
I might try a doubled uni next time.....I need a quick and easy knot to tie in braid to swivel/rig after busting off on a snag etc......won't be tying any biminis in a 12ft tinny when the fish are biting!!

There may not be one better
There may not be one better than using a leader, but the best knot is probably the palomar, or triple palomar.

Someone else may have other or better suggestions
