Hi All,
Well it's a cert.
We'll be selling Dreamweaver in the not too distant future and buying a couple of river/ocean fishing yaks.
Looking at the Malibu New 2012 X-Factor Kayak Fishing Package thoughts folks and where are these available from - whe're basically Albany based.

Personally
I would go the Hobie over the Malibu any day of the week, much better built kayaks. Seen enough Malibu's in my time to never want one.
The PA12 is nice too Col if flat water is your target.

Thanks Albee and?
Very helpfull info mate - thank you for that - other than build, whjat turns you off the Mailbu Alby?
I don't expect a Yak to handle water as good as Dreamweaver, but I will be taking it on the ocean.
Wuill check out the PA12 - thanks mate.

Thanks Col
Its heavy, but not a bad design as far as layout goes. But i cant get past the way they are built mate, could never reccomend one, and seen too many bad ones. There are much better built paddle kayaks out there.
If you are looking at some offshore work, my list would be as follows in no particular order;
* Hobie Revolution 13
* ProAngler 14
* Hobie Adventure, Adventure Island (Mainly Offshore)
* Ocean kayak Prowler 4.1, 4.7.
* Viking Profish
* Wilderness Systems Tarpon 140, 160.
* Stealth 465 (Mainly Offshore)

Hobie outback
Recently got one, not bad, quite stable being so wide but a bit slow, good for carrying lots of gear, throwing a cast net, crabb'n etc. Live bait tank helps being up north working the creeks.

Hobie PA12
Just got myself a Pro Angler 12 and i am wrapped with it.
Being on the large size it has given me a very stable platform.
Tokk it into the Swan around travelling boats and handles the bow waves with out a problem. Haven't been offshore as yet.
