Best Place to Sell your Boat

Hi well times being what they are we are forced to sell our boat. As some of you know we have had our share of troubles but after the last trip to the machanics she is running sweeter than ever you might say a new boat now everything has been replaced *LOL* but due to my Back problems and not being able to get out much now days we have made the decision to sell the TRIPLE F .

What we need to know is where is the best place to sell a boat other than fishwrecked ofcause ONLINE or at a BOAT YARD ????

Online without a doubt.

Online without a doubt. Otherwise you'll be slugged consignment commissions.

Boatsales.com.au would be the best website. Inexpensive too.

Quokka is free, then you

Quokka is free, then you have Boats Online for $33, or Boatsales for $30, then there are dealers. There are some good and bad things about dealers, they have existing customers, know people that know people that want things and perhaps can get you a better price, but then they don't come for free either ;)

Sad to hear you have to sell the boat, you will certainly miss it thats for sure.

At least its in top nick for the new buyer so it should be easy to get the price you want for it.

Sorry to hear

also, but unfortunately we know were you going on this.  Old fart has had problems with his eye and asthma, everything seems to be happening at once, start of old age gggrrrr, we are also deciding whether to keep the old girl or sell.  It would have been a very hard decision to mark and my sympathies to you all.  Old farts brother had to sell his boat also due to severe back problems.  Good luck to you all

Not good news guys. Must've been a tough decision to make.

I've done well in the past using the online venues. Good luck

Sorry to hear the news Russ

Maybe this will be a good move in the short term mate. Things get better with a fresh start. The important thing is your health and wellbeing.

I have never had to sell a boat so I can't help you in that regard. Most other things I would if I could.

Good luck with it!

Mate its a real shame that

Mate its a real shame that its time to part with the boat.

Gumtree it a good idea - keep an eye on the 'wanted' section as sometimes people are looking for something in particular.

Word of mouth has to be the best way to sell - I think we would all know someone who is wanting to buy, or dreaming of buying, a nicely set-up boat. Being able to point them in the direction of a quality boat is always pretty handy.

Goodluck with the sale and the back too.

Cheers,

Scott

depends

it really depends on if you want to deal direct with people or get  someone to do it for you sometimes you can get more selling it yourself but not always if you choose a dealer try and get one that has a high traffic flow so lots of people see your boat but at the end of the day its a sad day when you have to sell your boat
