best place to stay in broome. or abroad

hi all. hoping some can help. we are planning a trip up to broome next may for my 50th.

we will be tenting and will need a powered site .  so where is the best place to stay. preferably central and close to the water.

also what charters are the best to go on

just weighing up all costs .

Another thing that were looking at is somewhere abroad that there is good fishing , snorkling and plenty to do other than bali or thailand (not interested in them )

cheers Russ

Getting pretty well into grey nomad season, so once you get an idea, book quick.

Thats where we stayed on our recent trip. Facilities are good, short walk/drive to Cable beach. Have a few shops, pub and restaurants very close.

Yeah AOC all the way!

Got my first Cobia and 2 nice Coral Trout with them a few years back. I probably managed 50-60 fish all up.

We have stayed at three of the parks and found Palm Grove to be the best. Big sites, still walking distiance to Cable beach. Good pub across the road and Buses to town at the gate. Good if going out for dinner or a drink to Matsos.

Nice pool and settings, not as busy as Cable Beach

Palmgrove.com.au

Fishing charters there was a guy that ran a big cat with four outboards, saw him on tv but I cannot find him "fawesome on utube" is a similar boat

Tip for brekky - go to Cable beach resort on the beach front for the buffet brekky, eat all you like top up your plate just before kitchen cut off and you cover brekky and lunch haha, good deal that way....nice spot to watch the ocean and have moring brekky and coffees

enjoy

theres a a guy that

is just starting called broome bluewater charters i met him the other day. Nice gear all saragosa. He is just waiting on fisheries to approve his license transfer should be operating next week. His name is Harley and comes from a trap fishing background.

I reckon the best spot for camping in town is the big 4 at town beach and the only spot with a filleting table.
