Best websites locally internationally for furuno equipment/transducers

 As the subject saids?

Dont know many sites for finding these kind of parts i require...

though i have found an AUS site selling the FCV-295 for $3590 AUD..... which is i think is pretty good

Anyone know of sites for transducers as well? and would love help pointing me in the right direction for trannies too, was thinking either a 2KW or 3KW 38hz and a 2KW 200hz if i choose the 295...

Keep in mind mate there is not enough room in your bildge to run anything over 1kw in there, its very tight.

The best setup for your hull is a PM265LH pocket mounted in the dead center of the hull in the planing plank. The second best would be something like a B175.

You can fit a M265 in hull, but the pm265 will outperform it because its a wet face transducer.

The dash is also an odd shape so id recomend taking delivery before you order any sort of electronics just in case. I just managed to squeeze a Garmin 8012 and 8008 flush mounted on my dash. The 295 is a big bulky unit, i think i have the dimensions of the dash if you dont already have them?

If you want to know any more info etc i ran the same boat for 2 years.

cheers

3600 is a very sharp price on the 295. Should at least give the local guys a chance to match that price.

I have been down this road!

I would suggest choosing the size of transducer you want to use before committing to a sounder.

I too had to decide on a sounder/transducer for a boat that I was bringing across from the states. I also looked at the 295, but when considering what transducer(s) I actually needed, opposed to what I thought I needed for my fishing I ended up with something very different.

As for Furuno, I don't think you can go wrong. If your boat hasn't shipped, PM me for some advice on how to save a few bucks. My Furuno electronics were purchased when the $ was much better than it is at the moment, so local could be a better option.

Unless you are going to do some serious 'Super Deep' fishing I doubt you will benefit much from a transducer bigger than 1 kW. I would just look at more sensitive 1 kW transducers instead of larger transducers.

Give Taylor Marine a call, they will be of the most help to understand what you need. You could avoid spending big $ for something that provides little advantage. Apologies if I have implied that you haven't already done this type of research, I'm just going on personal experience.

If I chose my electronics again today, it would be a 15" Furuno TZ Touch 2, DFF1 (1kW) sounder module and SS264 50W/200 transducer pair.
