getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

Tyres
I got some from Bob Jane in Joondalup, for my hilux, can't remember the price but was no where near as bad as 530.
Give Danny (manager) a call and see how you go.

The worst part of 17 inch rims
is the tyre price.16 inch are cheaper because of the demand vs 17 inch
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

Gave up on the BFG, great
Gave up on the BFG, great tyres but ridiculously priced, been using Coopers which are (IMO) as good as the BFG's.
However, its getting hard to walk past Bridgestone D694's - on my 4X4 ute (Navara) - for most missions these will do the trick and nearly half the price
The Patrol will also be getting D694's next time as $1600.00 for a set of tyres is nuts
Cheers

By the way
The new muddies are so much better than the old ones, No noise on the road but softer rubber, And great on the beach
