big day on the blue!

With the 3.8 mt tinny in tow it was metro tuna that were the target for this morning ....
got to the ramp at 5 and were on the selected location by 530. quick sorting of the tinny saw us ready to go, almost straight away there was an eruption on the surface , so brett armed with a zipbaits monsoon breaker stickbait shot it straight into the disturbance and before one rotation of the handle was complete all hell broke loose ! first cast of the day and tuna landed... essentially this lasted the whole morning with bait and bust ups everywhere and in every direction ... ended up landing bulk tuna , amberjacks and tailor all on surface gear which kept us well entertained. Also managed to be graced with the presence of an overly large shark that was easily over the length of the tinny!
all day the monsoon breakers were the unstoppable lure with many other brands not even getting a look in !
all in all a top fun action packed day which entailed a large restock of lures ready for the next trip

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

good to hear no sharks were

good to hear no sharks were harmed in the making and taking of these pics (hopefully). I still remember (and always will) when i was 13 and finally got to go on my first trip to shark bay with my old man. we were in a 13ft tinny and this tiger shark that he hooked was easily 2-3 ft longer than the boat. he was in shock and awe and burst out laughing in disbelief. my eyes were watering up as i was shivvering violently in the fetal position under the nose of the boat with the extra life jackets hahaha.

harmless creatures really. almost gaurantee they only come in close and take easy prey when theyre sick. no need to hang drum lines and kill them off.

you dont see us killing tigers and lions left right and centre just so people can go on jungle/safari trecks without a worry in the world. why? could it be because we understand that they are territorial predators and we are entering their territory?

why dont people have the same approach to sharks in the ocean?

end rant. PS NOICE FUSH!

Lol all good. Im not here to make a scene; just a point. Couldnt help but notice he mentioned they had a massive shark hanging around. Just amazing that noone went in the water knowing the shark was there. And they didnt get attacked. Amazing haha
