Big dinghy options

Hi guys, after a bit of advice on boat options.

Currently have a 4.2m dory.  I am just thinking of upgrading to something a little bigger, deeper and more h/d. The back doesn't like having to sit down all the time in the current boat.

most of the fishing is around busso, coral bay etc. if I could beach launch that would be great.

was looking at options in the 4.5 - 4.8m

Can anyone recommend  a brand of boat. ( quintrex, mako, goldstar, etc ) that would suit.

Would I be better to stay with a open dinghy or look at runabouts?

If you like the dinghy style

If you like the dinghy style but want something a little more forgiving it may be worth looking at centre consoles. Won't be any setter than a dinghy but you can take a few of the firmer bumps with your knees. Further the console is back the smoother the ride will be.

The Quinnie Renegade series seem to be quite popular as well as the Topenders.

Done a lot of fishing out of a 4.5m Topender and they are the goods, rather pricey but. Done some wide trips in them no worries.

If i had more money than sense i would buy a Origin Axis 5000.

ive got a 5m open dinghy. plate ali, pm me and i can have a chat with you about it and what i would do different. if you put any type of console in it you loose alot of deck room hence why i have stuck with a large dinghy. i crayfish ou o it regularly, have a winch and tipper fitted to it. inbuilt fuel tank, kill tank and under deck storage. also have a furuno 585 in it and lowrance hds8. have two charts in the boat which can be moved around.

like i said if you want to have a look or even come for a run  pm me

I have a 5.3 meter stacer northen fisher with an 80 hp yamy on the back as the copper in my the street says " its just a bloody big dingy " but it gets me out wide and does every thing I want at the moment , ride wise it is ok typical ali boat bangs like shit in the rough stuff and will admit wasn't happy with the finish , but Stacer Australia said to me you bought an unpainted boat that's the standard we put out our unpainted boats
