Big Swan River Flathead

Had a good time this week picking a a few nice sized Flathead along the river. Most of the time I usually spook the real big ones as I'm wading along in the shallows

but yesterday I picked up my second PB Flatty at 57cm. Best was 61cm couple of years ago. Must have been really hungry.. check out the mouth on it!

As always they are all realeased to make more Flatties

Caught approx 17 Flatties over the last week or so and many were decent size. Most of the action has been this week with the walmer weather

Have'nt seen many bream or yellowtail around like there was last season

What retrieve do you use with the vibes? slow lift and drop or just a slow roll along the bottom? just got a zx40 and keen to try it.

Top marks for the pics of the flattie, they really do have some great body camouflage and you can see just how well they would blend into the bottom structure they usually hang about in.

Pleasing to see that you care about the future of the flattie bio mass and released a really good looking predator.

Well done
