hey guys just baught a trophy 2002 and the bimini has never been taken down so its completelly seized up
i want the bimini to go down so i can put the cover on it but the only way it gets down atm is if we unscrew it off which is a total pain in the ass
iv used anti-seize coupled with a hamer and still cant get the thing to fold down!
has anyone had this issue before? maybe theres a way i can soak it to clean up the metal poles?
help would be appreciated thanks :)

Once the salt gets in its very hard to shift
I think you will be suprised just how cheap a new bimini is. You can actually get the original replacement sent to you off ebay.
But just get a quote local and get a nice red or blue one it will make the boat go even faster.

Try some WD-40 Brake and
Try some WD-40 Brake and metal parts cleaner. The stuff is great on rusted tools and brake pads- just spray it on the let it sit for a half hour or so, then use a fine wire brush (the kind that looks like a small steel tooth brush). Sounds like you will need repeat applications though. It's also a potent degreaser.
