Black point boat launching

 Hi Guys,

Wanting to fish the South coast bioregion. Where is the best place to launch a 5m plate ali boat around the black point area?

Is the closest boat ramp Augusta and drive?

Is there anywhere you can beach launch down there?

Cheers.

Yep you got it, closest ramp is Augusta but obviously you cant land fish back there regardless if you have caught them east of BP in the Sth coast BR....

Windy Harbour is your goto for this but as i haven't been down there for a while i cant tell you what the launching is like atm....

Alternatively with fuck all swell and two vehicles PLUS a drop down spare you could have a go off Jasper beach but you'd want to A know what you are doing and B have good conditions to do so with a 5mtrs plate boat....

Good luck

Had a look at Windy harbour on Google earth, looks like a pretty Gnarly launch and exit out of that bay? Anyone had much experience here?

Boat retrieval can be tough, need low tyre pressure everywhere, wise heads and expect to get your tyres wet. If the swell is down i wouldn’t stress too much about exiting the bay.. although plenty of ptop wrecking  bommies close to shore
