boat carpet

Hey guys
Anyone out there know the easyest way to get boat carpet out of fibreglass boat that has been glued down.
Any surgestions would be great. I want to rplace it with stuff i can remove

Hard job
Hard job to do Tilbs. If its contact glue only solvent's will remove it, but on fibre glass i wouldn't recomend that path.
Elbow grease might be the only way, rip it up and scrape the glue off. Then sand back the last bits.
Another member might have a better idea, best of luck.

heat gun
use a heat gun it softens the contact adhesive and allows you to pull it up

Petrol will work, just not

will try a little bit and see how it goes.I suppose it's not much diff to spilling a bit of fuel when filling up.

not a good idea
i wouldnt do that deliberetly petrol and fibreglass and flotation ect dont go together to well unless you want to make some home made napalm

Strike zone will take that on board.i might just try a light grinder wire brushing then pressure kleen the rest and see how i go.
