Depends on how far you
Depends on how far you travel, seconds from most tyre joints cheap for local trips.

No brainer
Stick with brand new light truck tyres, ring a few dealers for quotes and then get them fitted. End of story.

In have light truck
In have light truck Yokahamas on mine, they've served me well for 5 years and have just renewed them even though they still had a 60% tread due to age.

Yeh supecting they are bit old.
Had one slightly split near the rim. Was slowly deflating - I Suspect mine are getting a bit old. Thread is good and been in garage all its life with little use from new (Had less that 173 hrs on 2005 motor/boat/trailer).
Not sure I am reading it right but I read 'DOT' on the tyre and just after that a 1505. So I assume they were manufactured in the 15th week of 2005??

Life
Tyres have an effective shelf life of six years from date of manufacture. After that, regardless of wear, they should be replaced.

Shop around
For long trips, I'd be sticking with well known brands and shopping around. I have found that unless you happen to find them on special when you ring, that the independents often have better prices than the single brand stores. Eg. I got a better price on 14" Bridgestones through Swan Tyres than I could get through the Bridgestone dealers. So shop around.

Dont use anything but LT on
Dont use anything but LT on a multi axle trailer, the screwing action while turning sharply needs the heavier sidewall!

Get Quotes over the Net
I used the quote function on the major brands websites then used the replies to get a better quote.
When I had them fitted the Bridgestone store said that they could not of matched the price given over the web.
Cheers

Did you know
That if the date stamp on your tyres is over 10 years old you are NOT covered by insurance
