gday,
had my boat for about18months and havent taken it out heaps but thats slowly changing. i live downs south and mainly go out off busselton. i have only been out to four mile and im after the delicious snapper and dhuies. i have heard that u can get the odd one around four mile but i have not had any luck, my boats a 18ft half cabin fibre glass. i have heard if u go out about 8-10 mile theres more chance of the bigs ones around the 30m mark. can anyone give a newbie abit of info about this. like souhld i anchor out there? how much rope? and if there is any fish out there! cheers!!!

Honestly
i'd forget about the bay and get out the West side. Launch at Quindalup or Canal rocks and you'll have a lot higher chance of finding Dhuies.

The bay is pretty well
The bay is pretty well striped so don't expect too much help there .. but the 4 mile will produce good pinks this time of year if you anchor and burley

Geo Bay Fishing.
There's still some good fish in the Bay but you need to berley up with what we call berley bomb's made up of crab and fish scraps and frozen into solid blocks. Send them to the bottom with a bit of lead attached for best results. The four mile reef does not have fish all along it and you'll need to work out where all the holes and caves are that the fish hang around but this time of year the big snapper are on the move so they're a good chance.
