Bream Lures?

Im new to river and Estuarine fishing and so was wondering what lures work for what and where? :/

From experience with offshore lure fishing rapala x-rap series has proved a winner when catching fish, but with regards to choosing the right bream/flathead lure there are many more options...

Your advice and thoughts would be muchly appreciated. Thanks :)

Hey mate, I do quite a bit of bream fishing in the swan/ canning and some lures I have found and seen that work are:

Hardbodies: ecogear sx40s in 307 and 303, zipbait khamsin Tinys in Carmen red, TT switch and ghost blades, halco scorpions .
Soft plastics: SnapBack 2inch grubs in most colours, damiki M grubs, squidgy wrigglers and critters.

There's stacks more on both fronts and others will mention them later on.

Hope his helps.

Hey mate there is a range of lures that you can use over here. A good cheap option would be Halco Scorpions or Laser Pro's in the smaller sizes. Small blades also seem to work really well on the flatties but can be a bit hard to cast at times. I've been hearing rave reviews about the TT Ghost Blades for bream from mates as well. Ecogear SX-40's seem to do the trick too :) but as you can see there is a wide variety of hardbodies that can be used over here. Don't forget to try soft plastics too :p
